Overview

The Slingshot Pass-Through System allows external businesses (Etsy shops, Shopify stores, etc.) to use Liana Banyan’s viral Cue Card mechanics for their own promotion — while routing all traffic through our verification layer.

Why “Slingshot”?

Like a spacecraft using a planet’s gravity to accelerate and redirect, external traffic “slingshots” around Liana Banyan’s gravity well before reaching its destination. We capture analytics, verify authenticity, and optionally present offers — all in milliseconds.

The Problem It Solves

1. Counterfeit QR Codes

Bad actors could create fake Cue Cards pointing to malicious sites. The Slingshot system ensures every QR routes through verification first.

How It Works

The Gravity Well

Every Cue Card QR routes through Hofund (our verification system) before reaching its destination:

Registering an Anchor

Requirements

1. LB Membership — Must be a $5/year member
2. Domain Verification — Prove you own the destination URL
3. Content Policy — Destination must comply with LB standards

Verification Methods

In Hofund Studio

1. Go to Hofund Studio → Anchors
2. Click Register New Anchor
3. Enter your destination URL
4. Choose verification method
5. Complete verification
6. Anchor is now available for Cue Cards

Q: What if my shop is on a marketplace (Etsy, Amazon)? A: You can register your shop page as an Anchor. Verification uses the URL you control.

Q: Do customers know they’re routing through LB? A: Level 1 is transparent (they don’t notice). Levels 2-3 may show brief interstitials.

Q: Can I switch levels? A: Yes, upgrade or downgrade anytime in Hofund Studio.

Q: What happens to my Marks? A: Marks are usable within Liana Banyan for services, products, or conversion to Credits.
